SGG attorneys Helen Sklar, Amy Lenhert, and Taiyyeba Skomra have completed the briefing in the firm’s two pro bono cases before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Oral arguments will take place in December. In both cases, we argue that the rights of detained immigrants who showed signs of mental incompetency were violated during their removal proceedings in Immigration Court, where they represented themselves.
