RECEPTIONIST/LEGAL ADMIN

The firm seeks an Receptionist/ Legal administrative professional to assist paralegals and attorneys in our immigration practice, serving local, national and multi-international clients and corporations.

Essential Duties:

Answer and direct client calls, assist legal staff with file prep and filing, scan, copy, FEDEX, data entry. As directed, email and follow-up with client initial questionnaire, website research as needed. Progressive responsibilities may be assigned as skill set is developed.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and oral English skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office software skills
  • Law firm experience strongly preferred.

BUSINESS IMMIGRATION JR. PARALEGAL

Under the supervision of lead attorneys, the firm is seeking a paralegal who will be responsible for supporting Attorneys and Senior Paralegals in business immigration matters. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and possess strong knowledge of procedural requirements for various types of nonimmigrant and immigrant visas and processes.

For the initial period of training, this position requires on-site work at our office. After a period of training, will consider hybrid/remote (3 days in office, 2 remote).

Essential Functions:

  • Review and assess immigration related documents.
  • Draft USCIS and DOL forms, support letters, and related business immigration documents.
  • Work with clients and paralegals to create and maintain various system accounts.
  • Update client information in case management system and prepare Case Management Reports.
  • Assemble and review exhibits and petitions in preparation for filing.
  • Communicate with institutional/corporate clients and foreign nationals
  • Work collegiately in a team environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • BS or BA Degree or equivalent business immigration experience
  • Business Immigration experience required. Specifically, Adjustment of Status Applications; I-140 Petitions (based on PERM); Naturalization Applications; various nonimmigrant petitions including H-1B, L-1 and TN.
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Experience with Equifax case management software a plus
  • Good oral and written communication skills
